Residential development

Custom home communities, developed across Minnesota.

DDG develops the ground where custom homes get built — entitled homesites, waterfront districts and villa neighborhoods, delivered with trusted building partners.

Buyers searching for custom home builders in Minnesota are really searching for two things: a builder they trust, and a piece of ground worth building on. DDG is responsible for the second — and works shoulder to shoulder with the people who deliver the first.

Our role is development: finding the land, structuring the deal, securing entitlements and delivering build-ready homesites. The homes themselves are designed and constructed with licensed partners, including 310 Designs and Development Co (License #BC809446), keeping development and craftsmanship under one accountable standard.

A large share of that work is lakeshore home development. Water frontage carries rules ordinary acreage does not — shoreland setbacks, wetland buffers, stormwater treatment and DNR review — and getting them right up front is what makes a lakeshore homesite buildable instead of merely beautiful.

Where we develop

Minnesota communities, county by county.

Prior Lake, Scott County

Lakeshore home development on Cow Bay — 54.7 acres, 107 platted homesites and a waterfront district on protected Prior Lake shoreline.

Hastings, Dakota County

Villa and twin home neighborhoods on the south metro edge, planned for delivery in 2027 with local marketing through RE/MAX Advantage Plus.

Twin Cities metro & greater Minnesota

Land acquisition and entitlement anywhere a parcel can honestly carry a community — lake frontage, farmland edges and infill acreage alike.

How a community comes together

From raw ground to ready homesites.

01

Read the site

Every community starts with the ground — soils, water, setbacks, access and the regulations that decide what a parcel can honestly become.

02

Entitle the ground

We handle platting, entitlements and infrastructure so homesites arrive build-ready, not burdened with surprises for the buyer or the builder.

03

Align the building team

We develop alongside established building partners, including licensed residential contractor 310 Designs and Development Co, so design and construction follow the same standard as the land.

04

Deliver the community

From waterfront districts to villa neighborhoods, the measure is the finished place — lots that hold their value and homes that belong on them.
